Begin with the label
Herbal traditions contain many different practices, but a packaged product begins with concrete information: its ingredients, serving size, directions, warnings, responsible party, and storage instructions. Read that information before deciding whether a product belongs in your routine.
Separate context from evidence
Traditional use, product descriptions, personal experiences, and clinical research are different kinds of information. They should not be treated as interchangeable. Look for specific, supportable statements and be cautious when a source promises a universal result.
Keep the routine observable
Introduce one product at a time, follow its labeled directions, and keep the rest of your routine stable when practical. Stop using a product if you experience an unexpected reaction and seek appropriate professional guidance.
Know when to ask
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if you take medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, are preparing for surgery, or are choosing a product for a child.
